Error Message:

Organization name is incorrect: Organization Name

NOTE: This error will be seen at the Account level under the Contacts tab. Only Account Admin users have access to the Account level.

Root Cause

This error means that one or more contacts contain a blank or invalid value in the Organization Name column and the contact upload file is being uploaded at the Account level.

Common causes include:

• A blank value in the Organization Name column

• A misspelled Organization name

• A value that does not exactly match an existing Organization in the Account

Solution

Update the contact upload file making sure that each contact has an acceptable value in the Organization Name column. Acceptable values are the names of the Organizations in the Account. 

The value for Organization Name is case-sensitive and must exactly match an Organization within the Account. 

IMPORTANT: The Organization Name column is required only when performing an account level contact upload. When uploading contacts at the organization level (within a specific Organization), the Organization Name column is not required. Use the correct upload page (account level vs. organization level) for the file.
