Contact upload failure error messages may be viewed under Contacts > Uploads> . Selecting the
upload results icon next to the desired file opens the Upload Results page, where the error is displayed.
Root Cause
This error occurs when a Delete upload is performed, but the External IDs in the CSV upload file do not match the External IDs for the contacts stored in the organization.
This can occur in the following situations:
The contact was already deleted from the organization.
The External ID in the CSV upload file is incorrect or misspelled.
The External ID does not exactly match the value stored in the Manager Portal.
External IDs are case sensitive, and the Delete upload process requires an exact match to be successful.
Solution
When using the Delete upload option, ensure that the External IDs in the CSV upload file exactly match the External IDs for the contacts in the organization.
To verify the External ID:
Navigate to the Contacts tab in the Manager Portal.
Locate the contact record.
Confirm the External ID value.
Ensure the value in the CSV file matches the External ID exactly, including spelling and letter casing.
If the External ID in the CSV file does not exactly match the External ID stored in the organization, the upload will fail and the system will return the error.
