How to disable the PIN function when sending IPAWS Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) in Everbridge Suite.

Description:

When sending IPAWS Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), viewing the IPAWS message history under the Universe tab, and/or retrieving a Collaborative Operating Group (COG) profile, a PIN may be required to complete these tasks. To disable the requirement for entering a PIN, follow the steps below:

In the Everbridge Manager Portal:

  1. Select the Organization.
  2. Go to Settings > Publishing Options > CAP Channels > IPAWS.
  3. Note the IPAWS credentials for your test and live environments.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select the checkbox next to Don't Use PIN.
  5. Note the information pop-up.
  6. Click Don't Use PIN.
  7. Click Save.

NOTE:  Once selected, you cannot simply deselect the checkbox next to "Don't use PIN" to restore the PIN functionality. You must also clear the credentials:

  1. Click the Clear button to remove the saved credentials.
  2. Deselect Don't Use PIN.
  3. Upload your current credentials from FEMA.
  4. Click Save.
