Text Character Limits When Creating Incident Information Variables in Incident Communications.

Description:

There are two types of text fields available when creating incident information variables: Textbox and Textarea. Text limits on incident information variables of type textbox and textarea are as follows:

  • A textbox has a limit of 1-399 characters of text.
  • A textarea can be defined with a limit between 100 - 50,000 characters of text.
  1. Log into the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your organization
  2. Select Communications > Incidents > Variables > + New Variable > Type
  3. Enter the character limit in the Limit field
  4. Click OK

In the examples below the Textbox limit has been set to 260 characters and the Textarea limit has been set to 4000 characters.
