EBS: How to Use the Premium Weather Universe Layers in Everbridge Suite

Question:

How do I use the radar or infrared satellite layers on the Universe tab?

Answer:

NOTE:
The Premium Weather Layers such as radar and infrared satellite are premium Everbridge features and are not enabled for your org automatically. If you are unable to access these features, please contact your Everbridge Account Administrator for assistance.

When searching for contacts from the Universe tab (or when using the Map option when creating a notification), follow these steps to enable the premium weather layers:

Choose the Select Contacts link from the upper-left of the page.
Under the Map Layers section, choose the Premium Weather Layers link.
Choose the premium weather layer desired:
1. No Weather Layer: removes any previously selected premium layer from the map display.
2. Radar: displays the North American and/or European weather radar from the last five minutes, depending on the options selected.
  1. Select to watch an animation of near real-time radar weather data.
  2. Select to stop the animation.
3. Infrared Satellite: displays global weather infrared satellite data from the last five minutes.
  1. Select to watch an animation of near real-time satellite weather data.
  2. Select to stop the animation.
