How to upload the home locations of Employees (Contacts) using only a postal code in Everbridge Suite or Visual Command Center (VCC).

Description

Due to privacy concerns, you may not want to include full employee (Contact) home addresses. You can geocode locations using only a postal code along with the fields required for uploading contacts in the Everbridge Manager Portal. This requires a setting change to your Organization.

1. Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization
2. Select Settings > Organization > Contacts/Assets > Default Options
3. Change Precision Level to Postcode
4. Set the Minimum Confidence Level to Medium or High
5. Click Save 

Note: Contacts uploaded with the postal code as the only optional field in the upload file, will appear at one central location on the Universe tab or Visual Command Center (VCC) map. In most cases, this will be the main post office in a city or town.
