VCC: How Are Self-Service Feeds Enabled to Appear on the Visual Command Center Map?

Question:

How are self-service feeds enabled to appear on the Visual Command Center (VCC) map?

Answer:

Self-service feeds contain data that is uploaded by users to VCC. To enable self-service feeds and have their data be alertable in the VCC map, follow the steps below:

Admin Console
  1. Log in to Visual Command Center.
  2. Click on the menu icon from the upper right-hand side of the page.
  3. Scroll down and click Admin Console.
Data
  1. The page will open the Admin Console, then click Data.
    Choose Data Type
    1. Under the My Data tab, click on the desired self-service feed.
      This Data Type is Alertable
      1. Click This Data Type is alertable.
        Confirm
        1. Confirm by choosing Proceed.
        2. Choose Save.
        Enable Feed
        1. Click Feed Settings from the upper right-hand side of the page.
        2. Toggle the feed to Enabled.
          1. Optionally, click the user roles allowed to view the feed data.
        Active Self-Service Feed

        The feed is enabled in Visual Command Center.
