The SMS Call Back feature is available when creating a Polling Notification in Everbridge Suite.
Description
When a Polling message is used for a Notification, recipients are presented with options to answer a poll. These options vary depending on whether SMS Call Back is enabled or not.
If SMS Call Back is enabled, the SMS recipients will be provided with a call back number and a message ID to make their polling selection. This feature requires that the recipient call the nunber and enter the message ID to provide their response.
Example:
If SMS Call Back is disabled, the SMS recipients will be presented with a menu to select their polling choice directly from their device. Recipients responding in this fashion may be charged by their carriers for sending a text message.
The SMS Call Back feature is enabled via the steps below:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization
- Select Communications > Notifications > New Notification
- Toggle Polling
- Scroll down to Settings
- Expand More Options
- Enable or Disable SMS Call Back by toggling Yes or No
