Saving a Shape

Shapes that drawn on the map can be saved for future use. To save a shape, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click the Universe tab from the top of the page.
  3. From the Select Contacts dropdown menu, select Draw shapes.
  4. Draw the desired shape or shapes.
  5. Select the You've selected x contact(s) link, where "x" will be the number of contacts selected in any of the drawn shapes.
  6. Select the shapes desired to save by selecting their corresponding checkboxes.
    1. If the shape is intended to exclude the contacts selected by it, select Exclude from the dropdown menu beneath Type.
    2. If more than one shape is drawn, each shape will be numbered according to the order they were drawn in, i.e. Shape1, Shape2.
  7. Click Save to Shape Library.
  8. Enter a Name for the shape file.
  9. Click Folder to save the shape file in from the dropdown menu.
    1. If no folder has been created to save shape files in, leave the dropdown menu empty.
  10. Click Save.
Shape Library Hub

To access saved shapes, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click the Settings tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click Map from the left.
  4. Click Shape Library from the sub-menu.
    1. Any shapes saved without assigning to a folder will appear in the Shape Library pane.
  5. Select the New Folder to create a folder.
    1. Enter the name for the folder in the text field and click anywhere outside the text field to save the name.
    2. Click shape files and drag them to the desired folder.
    3. Folder and shape names can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon.
    4. Folders and shapes can be deleted by clicking on the trash icon.
      1. Deleting a folder that contains shapes will also delete the shapes.
