Description:

Hyperlinks for email addresses can be inserted into the message body for email notifications, as well as messages sent to the Everbridge Mobile Safety app, by using the "mailto:" prefix. Follow the steps below to insert a hyperlink for an email address:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Notifications tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click the New Notification button from the upper left.
  4. Select the checkbox for Include a separate message for email notifications and create the message as desired, ensuring to include the email address in the lower text field.
  5. Highlight the email address and choose Insert Hyperlink Button.

Mailto Hyperlink Prefix

  1. Replace the http:// prefix with mailto: and then enter the email address. Do not leave a space between the colon and the email address.
  2. Click Submit.

When creating hyperlinks in Everbridge notifications, keep these best practices in mind:

  • Remove any automatic 'http://' prefixes to avoid duplicate protocol indicators when using specific protocols like 'mailto:'
  • Use the VCC: Alert URL variable token for dynamic link insertion
