By using Everbridge Suite's Smart Channel Integration, Slack channels can be associated with specific incidents launched using ITA.

Follow the steps below to integrate Slack into Everbridge Suite:

Smart Channel Integration
  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Click on ITA from the left.
  4. Click Smart Channel Integration from the dropdown menu.
  5. Select the radio button next to Slack.
  6. Click the Add to Slack button.

  1. Enter a Slack URL and click Continue.
  2. Follow the instructions to access the Slack account and click Allow.

Important Note: When creating incident channels in Slack through Everbridge, ensure that your incident messages do not contain HTML tags. The presence of HTML formatting in messages can prevent successful Slack channel creation or adding users to those channels. If you experience integration failures, check and remove any HTML tags from your incident message before invoking.
