Follow the steps below to create a shape using Google Earth and upload it to Everbridge Suite:

  1. Search for the desired address, zip code, or region using Google Earth.
  2. Select Polygon Tool from the toolbar above the map.
  3. Draw the polygon in Google Earth.
  4. Name the polygon without using spaces between words or characters.
  5. From the Google Earth - New Path window, choose the Style, Color tab to set Color to blue and Width to 2.0.

  1. Click the Altitude tab, and select Clamped to ground from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click OK to save and close the window.

  1. Select File from the top left of the page.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Click Save Place As....
  4. Save the file as a ".kml" file.

Uploading to Everbridge Suite

Import Region
  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click the Settings tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click Map from the left of the page.
  4. Click Shape Library from the sub-menu.
  5. From the Import Region pane, click the Import region file link.
  6. Upload the desired .kml file.
  7. Enter a Region name.
  8. Select the desired folder to upload to from the dropdown menu.
  9. Click Upload to portal.
