How to reset a contact’s Member Portal password in Everbridge Suite.
Description
To reset a contact's password, a reset password URL may be generated. The option to generate a reset password URL is only available when all of the following conditions have been met:
- The person who generates the reset password URL must have contact management permissions.
- The contact must be registered.
- The contact cannot be linked to a user.
If the above requirements have been met, then please follow the steps below to generate a reset password URL that will allow a contact to reset their password:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization.
- Navigate to Contacts + Assets > Contacts > Contact List.
- Select the pencil icon next to the contact who needs their password reset.
- Click the Generate a Reset Password URL button on the Update Contact page.
- Click Copy and do one of the following:

- Paste the URL into an email and send it to the contact so they can reset their password.
- Paste the URL into a web browser to reset the password for the contact.
