How to Reset a Contact’s Member Portal Password in Everbridge Suite.
Description
To reset a contact's password, a reset password URL may be generated. The option to generate a reset password URL is available when all of the following conditions have been met:
- The person that generates the reset password URL must have contact management permissions.
- The contact must be registered.
- The contact cannot be linked to a user.
If the above requirements have been met, then please follow the steps below to generate a reset password URL that will allow a contact to change/reset their password:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your organization
- Select Contacts + Assets > Contacts > Contact List
- Select the pencil icon next to the contact who needs their password reset
- Click the Generate a Reset Password URL button
- Click Copy and do one of the following:

- Paste the URL into an email and send it to the contact so they can reset their password.
- Paste the URL into a web browser to reset the password for the contact.
