How to launch notifications and incidents by phone call in Everbridge Suite.

Everbridge offers the Launch by phone premium feature to provide a backup method for message senders to launch notifications and/or incidents.
There are five steps to get started with the launch by phone feature:
- Enable launch by phone for the organization.
- If there is more than one organization in an account, a custom Organization ID will need to be configured for each organization.
- Add template IDs for each notification and/or incidents that can be launched by phone.
- Each message sender must have valid Everbridge Suite Launch by phone credentials.
- Each message sender must have the appropriate phone number to call and template IDs readily available to them.
Follow the sections below in order to configure and start using the Launch by phone feature:
Enable Launch By Phone
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select the appropriate organization from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Settings from the top menu bar.
- Select Notifications from the menu on the left.
- Select Default Options from the sub-menu.
- Under the General Tab toggle on Send by Phone.
- Click Save.
- Under the Incidents Tab toggle on Send by Phone.
- Click Save.
If More Than One Organization Exists
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select the appropriate organization from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Settings from the top menu bar.
- Select Organization from the menu on the left.
- Select Base Information from the sub-menu.
- Enter a Custom Organization ID.
- Click Save.
Add Template IDs to Notifications/Incidents
For notification templates, assign a template ID by following the steps below:
When creating a New Notification:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select the appropriate organization from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Notifications from the top menu bar.
- Select + New Notification from the drop-down menu.
- Create a new notification.
- At the bottom of the page, enter a Template ID.
- Select the radio button for Save as a notification template.
- Click Save.
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select the appropriate organization from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Notifications from the top menu bar.
- Select Notification Templates from the drop-down menu.
- Select the pencil on the left for the appropriate template.
- At the bottom of the page, enter a Template ID.
- Click Save.
For incident templates, assign a template ID by following the steps below:
- Select Incidents from the top menu bar.
- Select Templates from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the pencil icon next to the desired incident template.
- Enter a Template ID.
- Click Save.
Launch By Phone Credentials
For a user to take advantage of the launch by phone feature, specific credentials must be created by following the steps below:
- Select the person icon in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select My Account.
- Select Access by Phone from the left.
- Enter a User ID.
- Select the Change Password link.
- Enter a Password.
- Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password box.
- Click Update.
NOTE: The User ID and Password must be numbers only and are separate from the Manager Portal credentials.
Launching Notification By Phone
To launch a notification by phone, dial the respective phone number from the following table and a greeting will play saying, "Welcome to the Message Center, powered by Everbridge."

Follow the on-phone instructions as shown below:
- Enter a User ID and press #.
- Enter a Password and press #.
- If prompted, enter a Custom Organization ID.
- Enter a Template ID and press #.
- To launch multiple notifications or incidents, repeat step 3 until ready to launch.
- Press 1 to confirm the Template ID(s).
- Press 1 again to send the notification(s)/incident(s).
