How to restore deleted Contacts in Everbridge Suite.
Description
Contacts that have been deleted from the system that require to be resotred may be restored within thirty (30) days from the time they are deleted. After thirty (30) days, Contact records are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
When Contacts with the same external ID are selected for restoration, the application will restore the deleted Contact record with the most recent Last Updated Date and will ignore all other instances of the same external ID.
If Contacts are accidentally deleted during an integration or overwritten during an import, it is always best to immediately contact Everbridge Technical Support to prevent potential data loss or unintended overwrites.
Only Roles with permission to edit Contacts have the ability to restore deleted Contacts. Contacts appearing on the Deleted Contacts sub-tab will not receive notifications.
If a Contact profile is deleted and then restored in the Everbridge system, the Contact may need to log back into the Everbridge mobile app on their device. When the User clicks on a push notification and opens the app, they may receive an error message stating "The User is not active, check with your administrator". To resolve this issue:
- The Contact should log back into the Everbridge mobile app using their credentials.
- This is expected behavior when a Contact profile is deleted and restored, as the User's session in the app is invalidated.
Manually Restoring Deleted Contacts
To manually restore deleted Contacts, follow the steps below:
- Log in to the Manager Portal and select the appropriate Organization from the upper left-hand corner
- Select the Contacts or Contacts/Assets>Contacts tab
- Select the Deleted Contacts sub-tab
- Select the check boxes next to the Contacts to be restored
- Click the Restore button from the upper left
- Click Yes to confirm
- Click OK
