How to invite contacts to register to an Everbridge Organization's member portal.
Log in to the Manager Portal and select the appropriate organization from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
Select Settings from the top menu bar.
Select the Member Portal from the drop-down menu.
To allow anyone with the member portal link to register, in the Portal Options section to the right, select the Public radio button. NOTE: This option will not allow registration emails to be sent to contacts.
To allow only invited contacts to register, in the Portal Options section to the right, select the Private radio button to enable the standard Member Portal.
To provide member portal users the option to view it in the language of their choice, select either the Everbridge Translate or the Google Translate radio button.
The registration invitation email contacts receive can be customized in the following ways:
HTML or Plain Text email formatting
Click the Save button to continue.
Select Contacts from the top menu bar.
Click the envelope icon next to any contact to invite them to the member portal and click Yes to confirm. NOTE: Contacts must have a valid email address in order to receive the registration email.
To invite all of unregistered contacts in the organizations, click the Send Invitation Email button, and click Member registration. Then click Yes to confirm.
Once a contact is registered, the envelope icon will no longer appear.
Once contacts receive their email invitation, they can register to update their own information using member portal.
Notify contacts to look for the email invitation in case it is filtered by their email spam settings.
The registration link included in the email is only valid for 30 days. Repeat step 9 for any contacts who do not complete their registration within the 30-day window.
