Slack can be added to an organization as a delivery method.

Slack provides its users with a forwarding email address that can be used to receive notifications on. When a notification is sent to that email address, the email message will appear in the user's Slack chat messages.

Include Slack as a Delivery Option in Settings

Add Slack as a Delivery Option

An organization or account administrator can add Slack as a delivery method option by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Settings tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click on Notifications from the left of the page.
  4. Click Delivery Methods from the sub-menu.
  5. In the Select Code dropdown, select an email address delivery method.
  6. Use the Prompt field to name the delivery method “Slack Email”.
  7. Click on the Add link.
  8. Select the checkbox in the Default column to include this delivery method as an option by default.

Once Slack email addresses are collected for contacts, they can be added by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Contacts tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click on the pencil icon next to the desired contact.
  4. In the Delivery Methods section, select the Add a delivery method dropdown.
  5. Select "Slack Email".
  6. Add the contact’s slack email address to the Device Address field.
  7. Click Save.

The Slack email address has been added to the contact's record as a delivery option.
