To change when broadcast throttling rules are used in notifications, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.

2. Click the Settings tab from the top of the page.

3. Click Notifications from the left of the page.

4. Click Broadcast Throttling from the sub-menu.

5. Set the desired broadcast throttling settings:

   1. Apply to all notifications: broadcast throttling rules will be applied to notifications by default, but the message sender can disable them when creating a notification.

   2. Require on all notifications: broadcast throttling rules will be applied to notifications by default, and the message sender can not disable them when creating a notification.

   3. Show rules to notification initiator: broadcast throttling rules will be exposed to the message sender, but the message sender can not modify the rules.

6. Click Save after making any changes.

Broadcast throttling rules can be enabled or disabled when creating a notification, provided that they are not required for all notifications. This option can be accessed when creating a notification by following the steps listed below:

1. Click on the Edit link from the Settings pane.

2. Scroll down to Apply voice delivery throttling rules: and enable or disable the throttling rules by selecting or deselecting the option.

   1. Select the View Rules link to view the broadcast throttling rules.

The Apply voice delivery throttling rules setting is typically used for notifications with very large recipient lists. When enabled, the system throttles voice delivery by sending calls in smaller increments to avoid delivery bottlenecks and help ensure the notification is delivered to recipients as quickly and reliably as possible.
