EB360: 'Sorry, you can't access this resource!' Error Using Email Ingestion in Everbridge Suite

Problem

When using Email Ingestion in Everbridge, the following error occurs:

Root Cause

This error can be caused by:

  • A web browser caching issue

  • Certain content in the message fields, such as file paths, file names, or file types that may trigger the error

  • Role-based access restrictions - your default user role may not have administrative permissions in the specific organization where you're attempting to access email ingestions

  • Using an incorrect role when you have multiple roles across different organizations

Solution

Try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Clear your web browser's cache and cookies

  • Check the contents of the message fields to ensure there are no file paths, file names, or file types that may be triggering the error

  • Try reproducing the issue on a different computer

  • Use an incognito browser window to test if the issue persists

  • Verify your user role: Ensure you're logged in with the correct organization admin role for the specific organization

  • If you have multiple roles, set your default role to an organization admin for the organization you want to access

  • Try using an Account Admin role if available

  • If the error persists, contact Everbridge technical support with your Organization Name, Organization ID, specific error message, and steps you've already taken to resolve the issue
