How to sign up for alerts and enable notifications using the Everbridge Mobile App (EMA).
Description
Download and open the Everbridge Mobile App (Android or iOS). When prompted, tap Allow so Everbridge can send you notifications (alerts, sounds, and icon badges that can be configured in your device Settings). When the app prompts, also allow critical alerts and location access so you can receive location-based public alerts.
Note: You do not need the Everbridge Mobile App to receive alerts. You can receive alerts via text (SMS), email, or phone call if you sign up using your organization's or community's public sign-up page (for example, https://public.everbridge.net/sign-up) and verify your email address and/or mobile phone number.
There are two ways to sign up for alerts using the Everbridge Mobile App:

To find an organization or subscription
Tap Find an organization or subscription.
Tap the Search field and enter at least three characters to find your employer, university, community, ZIP code, or place of residence.
Tap the desired organization or subscription.
If needed, fill in the Sign Up page, including reading the Terms of Use. Be sure to enter your email address and/or mobile phone number and complete any verification steps so the system can deliver alerts to those contact methods.
Tap Done.
After sign-up, open Alert Subscriptions or Preferences in the app to select which alert categories you want and to confirm Everbridge Mobile App (push notifications) is enabled as a delivery method for your contact record.
If you cannot find your community or organization when searching, your organization may not be configured for public alerts in the app. Contact your local administrator, Everbridge account manager, or Everbridge Support for assistance.
To use the Map
Tap Explore the Map.
When prompted, tap Allow so your location can be used for public, location-based alerts.
Tap one of the following, based on your preference:
Allow While Using App (recommended)
Allow Once
Don't Allow (you will not receive precise location-based alerts)
Enter an address in the Search field or navigate on the map to the area for which you want to receive alerts.
