There are two ways to delete notifications stored in the Everbridge Mobile app:

  1. Message Expiration.
  2. Remote Wipe.

Message Expiration

Message Expiration Everbridge App

By using the message expiration feature messages are automatically deletes after a specified time frame.

Follow the steps below to set a message expiration:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Settings tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click on the Everbridge  Mobile App sub-tab.
  4. Click on Secure Messaging from the left.
  5. Click on Settings from the sub-menu.
  6. Select the checkbox and enter a value between 1 and 180 days.
  7. Click Save.

Remote Wipe

The remote wipe feature allows a user to delete all notifications sent to contacts via the Everbridge Mobile app along with any responses sent from the Everbridge Mobile app. When a remote wipe is performed, the selected contacts will automatically be logged out of the Everbridge Mobile app on any device. These contacts will need to log in to the app again to receive new messages.

Remotely Wiping Messages

Follow the steps below to perform a remote wipe:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Settings tab from the top of the page.
  3. Click on the Everbridge  Mobile App sub-tab.
  4. Click on Secure Messaging from the left.
  5. Choose Remote Wipe from the sub-menu.
  6. Click on the number above "Individuals".
  7. Select the checkboxes next to the desired contacts.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Wipe Now and confirm by clicking Yes.
  10. Click the Sync Settings button at the top of the left-hand menu. 

Check the status of a remote wipe by clicking the binoculars icon next to a contact's name.
