Can free Secure Messaging users be invited to register as a contacts of an Everbridge organization?

Answer:

Yes. NOTE: Before inviting a free user to an organization, ensure their Secure Messaging username does not match any of the external IDs in the organization's existing contacts. If a username matches an external ID, the user will not be able to join the organization.

Follow the steps listed below to invite a free Secure Messaging user to an organization:

1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
2. Click on the Contacts tab from the top of the page.
3. Click on the Secure Messaging sub-tab.
4. Click the Invite Users button.
5. Enter the free Secure Messaging user's email address in the text field and click Send. The user will receive an email with steps on how to connect their Secure Messaging account to the organization.
