Why are weather alerts in Japanese for Japan weather in Visual Command Center?
Answer
Our weather provider for Japan's weather provides risk events in Japanese only. These alerts come from sources like the Japan Meteorological Agency and are sent in the source language.
Automatic translation is not possible as the receiving system cannot automatically convert these alerts to English. While we do not have the capability to translate the text automatically, you can manually translate the alerts using the 'Translate Selection' feature in Chrome. To do this, right-click in the background of the risk event and select 'Translate Selection to English'. This will translate the item from Japanese into English.
