Problem
Selecting "Override Template Contact Selections With the Ones Selected Below" in Email Ingestion does not override the contacts defined in the Incident template. Notifications are still sent to the contacts configured in the Incident template.
Root Cause
The Incident template used by the email ingestion integration does not have the required Edit permissions for Contacts.
Solution
Use an Incident template with appropriate Contact edit permissions already configured, or manually adjust contact selections within the template until permissions are updated.
- Navigate to Organization Settings > Everbridge Open > Email Ingestion.
- Locate the integration and identify the Incident template under the Launch The Incident section.
- Hover over the Incidents tab and select Templates.
- Locate the identified template and select the pencil icon to open the template editor.
- Select Permissions from the left navigation panel.
- Ensure the Edit checkbox is selected for Contacts under Operator Permissions.
- Save the template changes.
