Problem

The total number of Contacts within a shape on the Everbridge Universe map does not match the total number of Contacts in the same area on the Visual Command Center (VCC) map.

Root Cause

This is expected behavior:

• Everbridge Suite lists the number of Contact locations. That is, if a Contact has more than one location listed in their record, Everbridge Suite will count and list that same Contact multiple times, once for each location.

For example, if a Contact has five locations within a shape drawn on the Everbridge Universe map, exporting it will then list that same Contact a total of five times, once for each location.

• VCC lists the number of Contacts. That is, VCC only lists an individual Contact once, regardless of how many location addresses are in their record

Solution

Because VCC only lists an individual contact once, regardless of how many locations are listed in their record, Everbridge recommends that you create a map filter on the VCC map identical to the same shape drawn in Everbridge Suite.
