Problem:

The total number of Contacts within a shape on the Everbridge Universe map does not match the total number of Contacts in the same area on the Visual Command Center (VCC) map.

Root Cause:

This is expected behavior:

• Everbridge Suite lists the number of Contact locations. That is, if a Contact has more than one location listed in their record, Everbridge Suite will count and list that same Contact multiple times, once for each location.

For example, if a Contact has five locations within a shape drawn on the Everbridge Universe map, exporting it will then list that same Contact a total of five times, once for each location.

• VCC lists the number of Contacts. That is, VCC only lists an individual Contact once, regardless of how many location addresses are in their record

Solution:

Because VCC only lists an individual Contact once, regardless of how many locations are listed in their record, Everbridge recommends that you create a map filter on the VCC map identical to the desired shape drawn in Everbridge Suite.
