How to unlock a locked Everbridge user account.
Description
A user can unlock a user account directly from the Manager Portal login page:
- From the Manager Portal login page, click on unlock your account
- Enter a username.
- Click Continue. An email will be sent to the registered email address with instructions to click on a link.
- Click on the link in the email
- Answer the security question
- Click Submit
- The user account is then unlocked
Note: If you are unable to log into your Everbridge account due to a locked account and a password that is not working, you can also follow these steps to unlock your account and reset your password:
- Click on the 'Forgot Password' link on the login page to initiate the password reset process.
- Follow the instructions provided to unlock your account and set a new password.
- Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to successfully log into your Everbridge account.
Troubleshooting Security Question Issues: If you're having trouble with your security question when trying to unlock your account, try entering the answer in different formats (e.g., all lowercase, original capitalization). Pay careful attention to spelling and capitalization as your answer must match exactly what was originally set up.
Important: Your Everbridge account may be locked after three failed login attempts. If you are unable to unlock your account using the self-service methods described above, contact your organization's Account Administrator. Everbridge Technical Support cannot directly reset or unlock user accounts, so your Account Administrator is the best point of contact to help you regain access to your account.
