Why is the source URL for NWS weather risk events not included in alerts on the VCC map?
Answer:
Visual Command Center aggregates multiple risk events and combines them into a single event on the VCC map. Due to this behavior the source URL of weather risk events cannot be included in alerts.

Segment links for Weather Events (US) Alerts are now available in the Alert More Information field and populated in the VCC: Alert URL variable. You can now include links to the National Weather Service segment in Communications to stakeholders.
