Problem:

Visual Command Center (VCC) alerts are auto-launching incidents even though the "Contact" alert settings are disabled in the Admin Console.

Root Cause:

Risk events that occur while the "Contact" alert settings for "This Data Type is alertable" is selected, will continue to auto-launch incidents even after deselecting the check box. The "Contact" data type will follow the risk event throughout its life cycle until it is completed.

Solution:

By deselecting 'This Data Type is alertable', any new risk events are prevented from creating new alerts and auto-launching incidents.

Workaround:

Acknowledge alerts by right-clicking on the alert and selecting Acknowledge to remove them from the map.
