How to configure an SOS to trigger a Notification in Everbridge Suite when using the Safety Connection features in the Everbridge Mobile Application (EMA).

Description

SOS Thresholds are used to trigger a Notification or Incident when a contact uses the Safety Connection features in the EMA.

To create an SOS Threshold:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Interactive Visibility > Safety > Thresholds.

  3. Under LAUNCH NOTIFICATION / INCIDENT IF, make the following selections:

    1. For Event Source Is, select Mobile App.

    2. For Type is, select SOS from the drop-down menu.

    3. For Sender's Record Type is, select the desired record type from the drop-down menu.

    4. Select the checkbox next to Message Location is and define your Threshold.

  4. Under LAUNCH NOTIFICATION / INCIDENT on the right, select the checkbox next to Launch a Notification or Launch an Incident.

    1. Depending on your selection, choose a Notification Template or an Incident Template.

  5. Enter a Threshold name.

  6. Click Save.

Note: To display the name of the person who triggered an SOS button in a notification, you must use Safety Connection thresholds as described above. When configuring your notification template, you can map a variable to 'Member Name' in Interactive Visibility settings.
