How to send long SMS messages from Everbridge Suite to Nixle subscribers.

Description:

Per Everbridge Suite's EBS: Everbridge SmartPath: Single SMS capabilities, long messages can be sent to Nixle subscribers via SMS. SMS messages sent to Nixle subscribers will be condensed to include a clickable link. When clicked, the link will open the entire message. In order to ensure that a long message is sent to Nixle subscribers, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
2. Click on the Notifications tab.
3. Click New Notification.
4. Build the notification as desired and select the check box for Use custom Email/Everbridge Mobile App message..

Enter the long message in the new text box.

5. Under Publishing Options select the check box for Nixle Channels.

In the SMS Message text box, enter a short message (less than 117 characters) and the link to the longer email message will be included in the message.

6. Build the rest of the notification as desired and click Send.
