When you create a new Other Intel Alert Profile, you will need to complete the fields on the Overall Settings tab, as shown below. The basic steps for completing the form are similar to the NC4 Risk Center - Real-time Incidents Alert Profiles - Settings.
Other Intel Alert Profile
The Incident Categories are slightly different from those on the Real-time Intel Alerts Profiles. Select as many Incident Categories desired. |
After completing the fields on the Overall Settings tab, proceed to the Types/Regions tab, as shown following.
Other Intel Alert Profile Types/Regions
- Select the Intel Types you want to receive from the NIMC.
If your organization subscribes to Global Insights, the greyed out/disabled area in the image above will be available to you and you will be able to choose from these items.
-
Select the Severity levels for the intelligence you want to receive, by checking/unchecking the box.
-
Make selections from the Region and/or Country drop-down fields by highlighting the selection, and clicking it, which adds it to the Selected Regions and/or Countries list box.
Select as many Regions and/or Countries as you need by returning to the drop-down list, making another selection, and clicking it.
-
Confirm that the entries in the list box are accurate. Highlight any inaccurate entries and click on the Remove button to remove them from the list box.
-
You may select Actors, if desired. Highlight the name from the list on the left and click the Add button to move it to the Selected box on the right. Continue in this manner until all the desired Actors appear in the Selected box.
Selecting one or more Actors will significantly filter down the alerts triggered by the profile since the actor will have to be assigned to the incident by NC4 analysts in order for the incident to trigger your profile criteria. NC4 recommends defining profiles that include Actor selections in addition to alert profiles that trigger a wider range of alerts.

When you have completed the profile, click Save.
