Everbridge 360™: September 2023 Release Notes

Our refreshed and optimized Manager Portal interface, Everbridge 360™, streamlines the Notification and Incident modules to create the new Communications experience while merging the Manager Portal and Visual Command Center into a single pane of glass. It retains all functionality while providing:

• Workflows that simplify the Communications process and make tasks easier to complete. 
• Event categories - either Everbridge's defaults or custom categories. 
• New features to communicate faster and reduce the opportunity for human error. 
• Enhancements to facilitate easier onboarding and improved overall usability.

This interface is free for all users and needs to first be enabled by an Administrator under Settings > Organization > Everbridge 360 > Default Settings. Once that's been done, every user within that Organization will be able to use the Everbridge 360 toggle found at the top of the page. It can be enabled or disabled by the user at any time.

The new Everbridge 360™ Mobile App aims to eventually replace the current Everbridge Mobile App while offering a fresh new interface and simplified adoption. The launch version supports Mass Notification, as well as some Safety Connection and Travel Risk Management features.  
 
The app is free for all customers and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. An Administrator must first set a unique Organization Code in Settings > Organization > Everbridge Mobile App > Organization Code. This code will be used by contacts to search for their Organization in-app.

The new Everbridge 360™ Desktop App includes the same functionality as its sister mobile app but is optimized for Windows and macOS devices. 

It also introduces the new Desktop Takeover feature, which sends a Critical Alert to the users that cover their entire screen when a Communication is designated as an Imminent Threat to Life. High-priority alerts will trigger a pop-up message but won't initiate a Desktop Takeover. 

The desktop app is free to all customers and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Microsoft Store. Like the Everbridge 360™ Mobile App, an Administrator will first need to set an Organization Code.

The new Public Safety by Everbridge App aims to eventually replace the current Everbridge Mobile App for public contacts and residents. It allows users to subscribe to their local Public Safety organizations (fire departments, law enforcement, etc.) to receive important updates without needing to be associated with an Organization within Everbridge.

With that said, current Everbridge users can still connect with their Organizations to receive updates, as well. 

The new fit-for-purpose app makes it easier for contacts and residents to adopt, enabling you to contact them with the robust Mobile Push delivery method. 

The app is free of charge and won't change any preexisting settings.

Documentation: Public Safety by Everbridge User Guide

Administrators can now configure a unique Organization Code in Settings > Organization > Everbridge Mobile App > Organization Code. This code will be used by contacts to search for their Organization in-app.

This feature comes at no additional cost and won't affect any preexisting settings. Note that this must be configured in order for an Organization to utilize the Everbridge 360™ Mobile and Desktop Apps.
