All features listed in this section are accessible in all products unless otherwise noted for a feature.

Dashboard Auto-Refresh Counter

A counter has been added to the Dashboard auto-refresh feature, allowing the user to see exactly how long until the next refresh occurs (in 120-second intervals).

New Notification Language: Hebrew

Notifications can now be sent to Contacts in Hebrew, allowing recipients to take specific action and respond in their native or preferred language.

New Google Auto-Translate Language: Ukrainian

Google Auto-Translate now supports Ukrainian, making it easier for native or preferred speakers to understand the scenarios they receive.

What's New in Travel Protector

Create Booking Alerts by Countries

Travel Managers can now configure a set of rules to alert when travelers book a trip to specific countries.​ Rules can be defined either by Country Risk Ratings or by specified countries.​

Configure Booking Alerts to Automatically Close Incidents

When configuring Booking Alerts, you can specify, per Booking Alert, whether the Incidents should automatically close after a successful launch. If multiple Incidents were sent for a single Booking Alert, the configuration applies to all Incidents

Configure Pre-Trip Country Reports to Automatically Close Incidents

When configuring Pre-Trip Country Reports, you will now be able to specify, per country, whether the pre-trip advisory Incidents should automatically close after a successful launch.

Customizable Full-Trip Country Report Content

Organization and Incident Administrators can now fully replace any country's Everbridge RIMC background intelligence data. The default Everbridge header and footer can also be hidden, now. A link to this content will be included in the message sent to the traveler.

Traveler Information Included in Pre-Trip Country Report Messages

See traveler information in the default message added to the pre-trip country report custom message.​ The default message now includes:​

  • Country name and Risk Rating​

  • Link to the Pre-Trip Country Report​

  • PNR number​

  • Traveler name​

  • Different messages for RTF and non-RTF format.​

Download Itinerary Details

Organization and Incident Administrators can retrieve the details of a specific Itinerary from the Travel Itinerary Audit page in .json format. Details include the Payload received from the Travel Data Feed, Itineraries REST API, or Itinerary Importer. This is helpful for instances where an Itinerary is ingested and data doesn't t look right - you can now troubleshoot by looking at the information sent to Everbridge Suite to create the Itinerary.

This feature is available without any additional cost to all Everbridge Travel Protector and Safety Connection customers using the Travel Data Feed, Itineraries REST APIs or Itinerary Importer.
Note that this functionality is not available for legacy connectors such as ISOS, Concur, Magnatec , or Amex GBT.

Incident Communications SMS Field Users can now enter an unlimited number of characters for the custom SMS field for Incident Templates and when launching Incidents.

Users can now enter an unlimited number of characters; however, during launch, the message will be truncated to deliver only the allowed number of characters via SMS.​

This allows users to now use variables that have long names as tokens in the SMS field and not have these long names pose as a restriction to the number of characters that can be entered​.

Incident Communications IPAWS Spanish characters are now supported. 

Spanish characters can now be allowed in the following IPAWS fields in the Notifications and Incidents forms: ​

  • WEA Spanish Message Optional - 90 characters​

  • WEA Spanish Message Optional - 360 characters​

The following characters are allowed - á à è é ì í ò ó ù ú Á É Í Ó Ú

Travel Protector Travel Itinerary API Support for PST and EST Time Zones for Travel Itinerary API When loading an itinerary using the Travel Itinerary REST API or the Itinerary Importer, you can now enter PST and EST time zones for Air and Train Arrival or Departure times, Hotel Check-in or Check-out times, and Car pickup or drop-off times.
Travel Protector Travel Itinerary API Removes randomness when multiple contacts are considered match candidates. 

During Contact Matching, when multiple identical contacts are potential candidates for matching, priority is not given to the Temporary Travelers contact type

Record types priority order for Contact Matching are Employee, Custom record types by alphabetical order (case insensitive), then Temporary Traveler.

Travel Protector Booking Alerts and Pre-Trip Country Reports Support XK for Kosovo country code. Kosovo country code has been adjusted to "XK" to align with RIMC​.
Publishing Options Web Widget Added more Broadcast Duration options. Custom Broadcast Duration options now include two months, three months, six months, nine months, and twelve months.
